Condemned: Criminal Origins'de uzmanlık alanı seri katiller olan bir FBI ajanını oynuyorsunuz. Oyundaki mekanlar aynı adındaki gibi terk edilmiş ve unutulmuş yerler. Yıllar önce kullanıma kapanmış metro istasyonlarından, eski büyük alışveriş merkezlerine kadar pek çok alanda araştırma yapmanız gerekiyor.

Ancak katillerin izini sürerken tek derdiniz ip uçlarını takip etmek olmuyor. Araştırma yatığınız yerlerde kimsesizler, uyuşturucu bağımlıları veya çoğunlukla deliler gibi bağırarak sizi öldürmeye çalışan garip, değişime uğramış ürkütücü insan yaşamakta.

Condemned önünüze geleni öldürüp basit bulmacalar çözebileceğiniz bir oyun değil. Yapmanız gerekenler genelde çok zor olmuyor ancak bir yandan üzerinize saldıranlarla uğraşırken bir yandan da delil toplamak bazen stresli olabiliyor. Oyun aslında tam bir psikolojik gerilim ve bunu ilk andan itibaren oyunun sonuna kadar hissediyorsunuz.

Oyunla ilgili diğer ilginç bir ayrıntı ise silahların yok denecek kadar az olması. Genelde çevrede bulacağınız metal veya tahta parçalarıyla idare etmek zorunda kalacaksınız. Ancak oyun zaten yakın dövüş üzerine kurgulandığı için bu bir sorundan öte yepyeni bir deneyim oluyor.

Condemned hikayesinin kurgusu, sürükleyiciliği, atmosferi ve oynanış tarzı olarak bu yılın en ilginç FPS'si denilebilir. Gerçekten stresli ve paranoyak saatler geçirmek isteyenler için kaçırılmaması gereken bir yapım.
